MAGIX Releases Sound Forge Pro Mac 3 and Announces New Versions for 2017

Promising a bright future for the entire Sound Forge Line, German software company MAGIX confirmed it is committed to release upgrades to this popular family of audio editing software products. Currently under development by engineering teams in the US and Germany, new upgrades will arrive in May 2017, with upgrades for the entire line slated for completion within the next 12 months.

A popular tool for musicians for over 20 years, MAGIX's Music Maker is now available for free for the first time. This is a complete audio recording and production software, with all the tools needed to create and share music, now in a fully-functional version completely free and ready for download at magix.com. Why are they doing this? Because that way MAGIX will be to sell built-in expansion options and upgrades to an expanded user base.

ADAM Audio announced the appointment of Christian Hellinger to the position of Managing Director. In his new role, Hellinger will oversee global sales, distribution, marketing, R&D, post-sales support and service, product management and strategy for ADAM Audio worldwide. Hellinger will be based in ADAM Audio’s headquarters in Berlin.

German company Celemony announced the availability of Melodyne 4.1, featuring even better integration with selected DAWs, new functions and greater ease of use. When Melodyne is integrated into a DAW by means of ARA, Version 4.1 now allows the simultaneous display and editing of an unlimited number of DAW tracks in a single Melodyne plug-in window – ideal for backing vocals and other multitrack applications.

German software house MAGIX Software GmbH announced it is acquiring a majority of the Sony Creative Software (SCS) products, including the popular audio editing and music production applications Sound Forge Pro and ACID Pro. Sony Creative Software was created from the acquisition of Sonic Foundry, in 2003, and has remained a separate division within Sony Professional.
