Alcons Audio Introduces Two New Pro-Ribbon Line-arrays at Prolight+Sound 2015

Dutch audio innovators Alcons Audio will be showing its latest pro-ribbon sound systems at Prolight+Sound 2015, and demonstrating new evolutionary audio solutions. Among the highlights for the show is the presentation of no less than 2 new pro-ribbon line-array systems and the new proprietary ALC control software protocol.

Martin Audio’s groundbreaking Multi-Cellular Loudspeaker Array (MLA) system has made history at the Glastonbury festival by delivering the highest sound levels to the audience without exceeding noise pollution levels beyond the perimeter. More than 150,000 fans listened to headline acts mixed on the MLA system.

Electro-Voice had big news at InfoComm 2014 expo in Las Vegas, with the global preview of the next generation of X-Line line-array loudspeakers (X1 & X2). At the EV booth, cutaway models allowed a close-up look at the engineering innovations of the new series, while the X1 line-array system could be seen in action in the demo room.

JBL Professional announced that its CBT 70J-1 column loudspeaker and CBT 70JE-1 extension box are now THX approved. Major cinema exhibitors have installed the CBT70J-1 and the CBT70J-1 + CBTJE in the past several years as surround systems. This enables exhibitors to include CBT 70J-1 loudspeakers in THX-certified theaters.
