Ceva Introduces Highly Accurate and Reliable RivieraWaves UWB Wireless Solutions for Consumer and Smart Home

On the first day of MWC Barcelona 2024, Ceva announced the general release of its RivieraWaves ultra-wideband (UWB) IP for FiRa 2.0, the latest technical specification released by the FiRa industry consortium promoting standardization and compliance efforts for the widespread adoption of UWB-driven applications. RivieraWaves UWB IP for FiRa 2.0 extends Ceva’s market reach into high-volume UWB navigation, detection and remote control use cases in the smart home, consumer electronics and more.

FiRa Consortium, the organization that defines the specifications and ensures ecosystem interoperability of products and services utilizing UWB technology, has announced a major advancement of its technical specifications. With the publication of FiRa 2.0 Technical Specifications, the consortium is furthering the scope and interoperability of the ultra-wideband ecosystem, introducing new use cases that include Point and Trigger features that lets users control UWB-enabled connected systems, such as TVs or smart speakers.
