Audeze, the California-based premium headphone manufacturer, announced a significant update to their Reveal+ virtual studio plugin in partnership with Embody, the personalized spatial audio pioneer that focuses on enhancing the listening experience. The new version of the software includes an additional control parameter, two new virtual studios designed by Grammy award-winning artists, and an enhanced control room. Lithe Audio Launches First WiSA Certified Dolby Atmos Ceiling Speakers

The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA), founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, confirmed the launch of the new Lithe Audio’s WiSA Certified Pro Series in-ceiling speaker. The new Pro Series speaker from the British brand was unveiled earlier in November 2020, and is aimed firmly at the custom installation market. It also represents WiSA’s first certified speaker in the installation space, available April 2021 and priced at approximately $950 USD.

Nugen Audio released Version 1.1 of its 3D-compatible convolution reverb plug-in, Paragon. Included among the updates is the addition of outdoor Impulse Responses (IRs) and improved balancing of early reflections. Version 1.1 also features new presets and an improved browser, with “search,” “tagging” and “favorite” functions. Unlike other convolution reverbs on the market, Paragon offers full control of the decay, room size and brightness via state-of-the-art re-synthesis modeled on 3D recordings of real spaces.

Sony Goes Spatial With New SRS-RA5000 and SRS-RA3000 Wireless Home Speakers

"Change the Way You Listen to Music" is Sony's pitch for CES 2021, reinforcing the company's past research efforts in spatial audio and specifically its 360 Reality Audio and Immersive Audio Enhancement technologies. The concept was so far implemented in binaural mode with headphones, but Sony demonstrated some concepts with speakers able to generate "ambient room-filling sound" since CES 2019. With users spending more time at home, Sony decided it was time to launch the new 360 Reality Audio wireless speakers, model SRS-RA5000 and SRS-RA3000.
