Panasonic Shows Strong True Wireless Ambitions at CES 2020

CES 2020 will be remembered as the strongest show for true wireless stereo product announcements so far, and also a pivotal moment for technology evolution in the segment. Among the first companies to make a strong statement at CES 2020 was Panasonic - and its affiliated brand Technics - with three different products, two of which already feature one of the most advanced Hybrid Noise-Cancelling Technology platforms currently available.

Dialog Semiconductor announced the DA740x, a family of highly-integrated audio codec chips that deliver best-in-class active noise cancellation (ANC), providing optimal audio performance in any environment to the rapidly-growing wireless headphones market. According to the British semiconductor company, the DA740x chips are able to deliver superior active noise cancellation – no matter how noisy the environment – with twice the audio quality and half the power consumption as competitive solutions.

At CES 2019, Jabra announced an expansion of its consumer lifestyle Elite headphone range with the launch of the Elite 85h, outfitted with custom-engineered 40mm drivers, Jabra SmartSound and exclusive AI technology, to provide intelligent adaptive audio, and totally hands-free Voice Assistant Control. The Elite 85h headphones set new standards with maximum battery life of 32-hours with Digital Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation activated, improved sound with advanced six-microphone call technology, and industry-leading durability.

The headphone market is getting crowded and new companies are launching new increasingly competitive products that, at least in theory, tick all the boxes. Senji is a new startup company that just announced its Mu6 smart noise-canceling wireless headphones with a variety of advanced features such as Hearing Optimization and a unique Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand. The design features Hybrid ANC and Bluetooth 5, and is now available on Indiegogo for an early bird price starting at $129 USD.
