Shure Introduces TwinPlex Premium Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier and Headset Microphones

At the 2019 NAB Show, Shure unveiled TwinPlex, the company’s new line of premium subminiature (5 mm) omnidirectional lavalier and headset microphones. Designed to stand up to the toughest conditions, TwinPlex provides natural audio at both high and low frequency when professional vocal performance is a must. The new TwinPlex series uses a patent pending capsule technology in an easy-to-conceal package, ideal for quick costume changes or discreetly placed under wardrobe with no impact on sound quality.

Point Source Audio (PSA), an audio equipment manufacturer specializing in the development of miniature microphones and headsets, announced today that the U.S. Patent Office has issued two patents for PSA’s Embrace Earmount Microphone: Patent No. D786,220, which protects the design of PSA’s Embrace earmount, and 9,706,285, which covers the device, apparatus, system or method of use.

Australian microphone manufacturer RØDE Microphones announced a series of new products and upgrades for some of its most popular products and accessories, starting with the introduction of the new HS2 headset microphone. Focusing on solutions for video production and presentation, which include RØDE’s new Stereo VideoMic Pro now featuring a Rycote Lyre suspension system, the new products are shipping now and will be displayed during the IBC 2016 show in Amsterdam.

DPA Microphones introduced two new broadcast microphones at NAB 2015. Together with the new d:facto Interview Microphone, the Danish company is introducing the new d:fine In-Ear Broadcast Headset Microphone, targeted at broadcast hosts who use in-ear monitors to communicate with their producers backstage or to hear foldback from people interviewed outside the studio.
