Wireworld Announces Starlight 48 Optical HDMI 2.1 Cables

Wireworld Cable Technology announced the release of the Starlight 48 Fiber Optic HDMI cable. These extended-range cables utilize the highest quality laser modules and driver chips to improve image quality and provide long term reliability, while supporting the 48Gbps data rate required for next generation video applications. The new Starlight 48 cable is 8K UHS certified, supports all of the latest HDMI 2.1 features and capabilities, is UL CL2/FT4 rated for in-wall installation, and is available in lengths of 5m, 10m, 15m, 20m and 30m.

The Neutrik Group, with headquarters in the Principality of Liechtenstein, confirmed the acquisition of connectivity solutions company Connex Gmbh, headquartered in Oldenburg, Germany. The acquisition intends to strengthen Nuetrik's expertise in professional solutions. Connex produces and develops high-quality components for the professional event industry, including audio distribution, stage boxes, multicore systems, audio splitters, power distribution, and networking.

MultiDyne Fiber Optic Solutions will introduce its new BULLET series of miniature, rugged fiber-optic link products at the 2019 NAB Show. In addition to the 12G-capable BULLET for high-bandwidth video launched at IBC 2018, MultiDyne will introduce an industry-first Dante-enabled BULLET for digital audio — also capable of Ethernet transport. This allows solving problems for last-minute video and audio feeds, and quickly scale for higher signal densities.

German fiber network specialists BroaMan, who offer scalable SD/HD/3G video, data and intercom transport solutions down a single fiber, have appointed Clear-Com, the provider of real-time communications solution and services, as their new distributor in the USA. Since 2011, Clear-Com has been working with BroaMan and sister company Optocore, implementing the German company's products for integrated real-time transport, routing, conversion and management of professional video, audio and data.

With the festival season fast approaching, Optocore chose the Prolight+Sound 2018 to launch its new Festival Box. Having already proven the versatile fiber based technology in the broadcast industry — marketed through its close technology partner BroaMan — Optocore has responded to the growing demand from the live sound community for a more elegant and efficient signal transport system, with a hot-swappable SFP solution that will radically streamline multiple-band festival bills. Hence the name Festival Box.

MultiDyne Fiber Optic Solutions from Hauppauge, NY, has amplified its audio strategy with the integration of Dante Audio over IP networking from Audinate into its range of openGear solutions for modular, high-density fiber transport and signal conversion. The company’s first Dante-enabled product marries modular flexibility with flexible multichannel audio applications for fiber transport.

At this year’s IBC 2016, BroaMan/Optocore found the perfect platform from which to springboard its new Route66 family of routers. The company introduced three new versions to the Route66 signal router range, adding increased flexibility and efficiencies. The German company carried on where they left off at the NAB 2016 show, where they introduced the new Route66 AutoRouter concept, closing the ring automatically once a mobile stagebox is added or removed.
