DPA Offers New 2012 and 2015 Pencil Microphones for the Stage

DPA Microphones, the leading Danish manufacturer of high-quality microphone solutions and a spin-off of the original Brüel & Kjær, is increasingly focused on the live performance and touring markets. The company now unveiled its new compact 2012 Cardioid and 2015 Wide Cardioid Microphones featuring a durable, reinforced construction to withstand the rigors of the stage. The new mics join the brand’s original line of pencil studio mics, almost instrumentation-level designs.

Blue Microphone announced the availability of Hummingbird, the small-diaphragm condenser microphone with an adjustable pivoting head, which the company introduced at the 2015 NAMM Show. A versatile recording tool, Hummingbird uses a precisely tuned diaphragm, based on Blue’s B1 capsule, allowing ultra-fast transient response and high-SPL handling.
