Radial Gets Wired or Wireless Audio From A to B

Among several innovative and interesting products introduced at the 139th AES convention in New York, Radial Engineering introduced its new Catapult 4 channel audio snake to send analog and AES digital audio signals over standard cat-5 shielded twisted pair cable. And for situations where wireless is preferred, there’s also the new Radial BT-Pro Bluetooth direct box.

Jensen Transformers introduced the ISO-MAX GLX line isolator solution. A true problem solver, the GLX is a compact balanced line isolator designed to eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops in audio systems, that will not degrade the audio quality by limiting the bandwidth or introducing phase shift, harsh sound or unpleasant artifacts.

Radial Engineering announced its new JDX 48 Amplifier direct box is now shipping. The new generation version of the popular JDX Reactor amplifier DI joins the company’s recently expanded range tackling stereo connections, with the JDI Stereo high-end passive direct box and the J48 Stereo, all introduced in earlier 2015 and now already available.

Radial Engineering announced the Bassbone V2, a second generation of the popular bass guitar preamp and DI box pedal, that features a dedicated effects loop, combination power booster-mute footswitch and piezo optimized input for upright bass. The Bassbone V2 audio performance in a compact box makes it an ideal front end for both live and studio recording.

Rupert Neve Designs announced two new products for the 2015 NAMM Show: the RNDI Active Transformer Direct Interface, and the R6 Six Space 500 Series Rack. The RNDI utilizes a custom Rupert Neve-designed transformer and a class-A biased discrete FET amplifier to elegantly balance an instrument signal. The R6 is a rack with more than 150% the required current and a full complement of XLR, TRS and DB-25 I/O.

Back in October 2013, Radial Engineering announced it would be launching it’s first digital product: The USB-Pro high-resolution stereo direct box, designed to convert sound files from a laptop computer and transfer them to a pair of balanced audio outputs to feed a PA, recording, or broadcast mixing console.
