beyerdynamic Launches New DT 240 PRO Professional Monitor Headphones

Initially announced by beyerdynamic in September 2017, the new DT 240 PRO compact monitor headphones are now available. The new model was designed for musicians, podcasters and filmmakers, offering a no-frills reference solution with detachable cables. As the German company explains, since music is not only created in a studio, videos are now often cut on a notebook, and podcasters report via smartphone from anywhere in the world, the DT 240 PRO monitor headphones are optimized for mobile workflows.

Audio-Technica unveiled the ATH-M50xRD Professional Monitor Headphones, a limited-edition red-and-gold version of A-T’s popular ATH-M50x and part of A-T’s M-Series line of headphones at the 143rd International AES convention in New York. The limited-edition ATH-M50xRD is now shipping and it must be said that this is indeed an appealing product, combining the quality features of one of the most popular reference headphones in the market with a unique finish that makes it stand-out.

Bavarian headphone manufacturer Ultrasone introduced the Signature DXP, dynamic closed-back headphones specifically tailored to DJs’ needs. With their hinged ear cups and shielding from background noise, the Signature DXP headphones are designed for use in the club. Ultrasone says the sound quality delivered by these headphones also makes them a great choice for studio environments or even living room enjoyment.

Sennheiser has launched the next generation of its HD 400 series of over-ear headphones at IFA 2015, in Berlin. The lightweight and affordable range includes the closed-back HD 451, HD 461 and HD 471 models. Powered by Sennheiser’s proprietary neodymium magnets, the HD 451 and HD 461 models feature powerful bass, whereas the HD 471 offers a more balanced sound experience.
