The JBL Synthesis range now includes the top performance SCL-1 loudspeaker and the matching SSW-1 subwoofer, both designed for no-compromise immersive audio systems and featuring patented JBL technologies. Complementing the JBL Synthesis range for immersive audio are four new SCL loudspeaker for residential installation.

While I visited the exhibits at the excellent Colorado Convention Center during the 2019 CEDIA Expo in Denver, I was frequently asked about my impressions of the show - but often it was as if people were asking me to validate their own negative impressions - because "this industry has seen better days...", and "the show is smaller than ever." I saw the show in a different perspective, which I will address in this report.

Focal announced the company’s new flagship in the Home Cinema range, Dôme Flax 5.1.2, a Dolby Atmos compatible speaker system. Building on the already impressive Dôme Flax 5.1 channel speaker system which features the French speaker manufacturer’s Sub Air wireless subwoofer and five matching Dôme Flax, this new offering adds two 300 Series ICW-4 speakers to mount in the ceiling and enable the Atmos effect when combined with an Atmos enabled AV receiver and appropriate content.
