Listen Technologies Acquires Wi-Fi Audio Pioneer ExXothermic

Listen Technologies Corporation, a leading provider of advanced wireless listening solutions for 22 years, has acquired ExXothermic, a company specializing in high-quality, low-latency Wi-Fi audio technology. ExXothermic has several patents for its Wi-Fi streaming technology and has delivered thousands of Wi-Fi audio channels for use in assistive listening, fitness centers, waiting areas, hospitality, and other applications and environments around the world.

This time it was Huddle Room Technology (HRT), a company based in Modena, Italy, which adds an innovative family of Huddle Hub wireless USB and content sharing products to its extensive range of meeting room solutions.

Following the acquisition of Polycom, confirmed in July 2018, Plantronics, announced that the company will transform into Poly, a technology company focused on the human experience of communications and collaboration, aiming to make communication as rich and natural as in-person. Poly aims to be the solution of choice whenever and wherever collaboration clouds reach people. To connect people, not things, the company motto says.

Imagine a speakerphone with an attractive touch-screen that you can place in a meeting room space, allowing everyone to participate in a conference and collaborate, independently of the hardware, software or service everyone else is using. A table-top device that already incorporates en effective microphone and speaker, but that also doesn’t mind if you prefer to use your iPhone with Skype, and someone else is using a company's Cisco WebEx system.

Two new models in the QSC installed loudspeaker portfolio will debut at InfoComm 2016 show, June 8-10. The new AcousticDesign Series Pendant Loudspeakers will be demonstrated at the show together with QSC’s new Q-SYS USB-to-AV Bridging solution, now featuring PTZ-IP Cameras and peripherals for corporate AV applications. The Costa Mesa company will also introduce two new SPA Series amplifiers suited for meeting room applications.
