Yamaha Adds HS3 and HS4 Compact and Affordable Active Monitors

Yamaha announced new HS3 and HS4 powered studio monitors, the most affordable in the family, bringing the signature design of the HS series to the widest possible range of creators, editors and producers. More compact than other models in the HS series, the HS3 and HS4 come with a convenient range of connections, from XLR/TRS, to RCA and mini jacks to support professional and consumer sources. There's even an headphone jack on the front on one of the speakers.

French audio-over-IP specialists Digigram are promoting its existing IQYOA X/LINK-LE codec to allow sending professional-quality audio, with no dropouts, while broadcasting at home. Musicians and anyone looking to broadcast audio from their home can pair this codec with a free web streaming site, such as Caster.fm, and offer their listeners radio-quality broadcasts — eliminating the dropouts and poor audio quality they've run into while streaming on the various social media platforms.
