Meyer Sound Announces MAPP 3D Updated Software Tool for Audio System Design

Meyer Sound has announced the release of MAPP 3D, the most extensive upgrade to its system design tool since the original MAPP Online software program was introduced in 2001 and quickly became an industry-standard. MAPP 3D works on both the Mac and Windows platforms, employs local processing (no Internet connection required) and is now available as a free download from the Meyer Sound website.

At the end of July 2020, audioXpress ran a product release on Vesper's VM3011 intelligent digital micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) microphone. Its claim to fame is a power saving architecture that enables battery standby life that otherwise would be unattainable without the "smarts." There are another half-dozen developers working on integrating all sorts of capabilities within the MEMS mic package. This concept was one of LG's highlights at CES 2020 and the whole presentation looked like a bizarre development at the time. The new LG TONE Free true wireless earbuds are the first to combine an audio experience tuned by British hifi company Meridian with a unique hygiene-enhancing UVnano charging case that also kills 99.9 percent of bacteria on the part of the earbud closest to our inner ear (model HBS-FN6). The product is now available online and through LG-authorized retailers at a suggested price of $149.99.
