Audio Engineering Society Announces Results of 2020 Elections

Following its 2020 Board of Directors and Board of Governors elections, the Audio Engineering Society confirmed that the 2021 Audio Engineering Society Board of Directors will include Jonathan Wyner (President), Agnieszka Roginska (Past-President), Joshua Reiss (new President-Elect), Valerie Tyler (Secretary), Glenn Lorbecki (Treasurer), Marina Bosi (Treasurer-Elect) and Alex Kosiorek (Director). One additional Director will be named by the Board of Governors per the recently amended AES Bylaws.

The two learn-to-solder kits designed by the Audio Builders Workshop (ABW is an offshoot of the Boston Audio Engineering Society section) are now available for purchase online at CrowdSupply - a crowdfunding organization and website helping creators fund and launch products that people can build themselves and customize at will. CrowdSupply and their parent company, Mouser have been great supporters of ABW, and it was just natural that the entities would team up to offer the kits.

The event is named AES Show Fall 2020 and will offer an expanded program of sessions. Following the introduction of the special RAW aluminum color finish, Genelec is set to donate a percentage of every sale of its new RAW loudspeaker range to the Audio Engineering Society (AES), for the remainder of this year. The Audio Engineering Society has begun to announce program details for the upcoming Virtual Vienna Convention, including three keynote lectures and the Heyser Presentation. The AES Virtual Vienna Convention will take place online June 2 – 5, and registration is now open for as little as $50 USD for AES members. On the opening day, The Heyser Presentation will be presented by Francis Rumsey on “Sound Quality in the Era of Interaction and Extended Reality.”
