Affordable New Steinberg UR12 24-bit/192kHz Audio Interface

Steinberg Media Technologies announced the release of their latest USB 2.0 audio interface. The UR12 features 24-bit / 192 kHz audio quality, class compliant support for the iPad alongside a microphone input with D-PRE preamplifier, one high-impedance line input plus line outputs. The new entry-level USB audio interface includes a Cubase AI DAW software download license.

Yamaha has released a free update to its Nuage post-production and studio recording system which allows seamlessly compatibility with Steinberg’s just-released Cubase Pro 8 DAW software - making Nuage an exceptionally powerful and flexible control solution for music production studios.

Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH announced the immediate availability of Cubase Pro 8 and Cubase Artist 8. The latest iterations of Steinberg’s music production systems have better audio quality thanks to a complete audio engine rebuild with up to 192 kHz support, adding an endless number of advanced audio and MIDI tools for composition, recording, editing and mixing.

With the release of its Visualizer Audio Analysis Suite, NUGEN Audio’s entire range of plug-ins now supports the latest Virtual Studio Technology (VST3) standard by Steinberg. The Visualizer Audio Analysis Suite provides robust audio analysis capabilities, with a standardized reference set of tools designed to expedite the workflow of audio professionals.

Steinberg and Yamaha just confirmed that the significantly updated Version 1.5 software for Yamaha’s Nuage post-production system, originally announced in April, will be released on 22nd July, alongside Version 6.5 of Steinberg’s Nuendo DAW.

VST Connect Performer for iPad is a new app from Steinberg, complementing the previously announced VST Connect Performer tools available in Cubase versions 7.5 and 7 and Nuendo versions 6.5 and 6, for real time collaboration over the Internet. The new app allows musicians to record remote performances using only an iPad.
