Optocore Presents New Compact SFX7 Network Interface Controller

Optocore has announced the release of a complete network solution suitable for all manufacturers and professional integration clients. Formally launched at Prolight+Sound 2017 in Frankfurt, the new compact SFX7 module was designed by Optocore to be built into third party product boards - including networked speakers - and will offer maximum flexibility, interoperability and integration — all on fibre, and fully IP-based.

One of the interesting technology stories announced during the 2016 Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt, was about Fohhn’s award-winning Linea Focus series, with beam steering capabilities, now being equipped for networking via an Optocore fibre solution. Optocore provided a SANE-FX module, mounted directly inside the Linea Focus housing, enabling a versatile and reliable direct fibre network connection to the speaker.

Having already made a major commitment to the MADI standard (AES10), Optocore announced a significant extension at the 2015 Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt. The new advanced MADI range (M Series) includes the M8 and M12 units with coaxial, fibre and Cat5 interfaces, including two Optocore own hi-speed fibre uplinks.
