As many manufacturers including Apple, Google, and Samsung standardize on USB Type-C (USB-C) with the new Power Delivery (PD) protocol, CoolGear and PoE Texas have joined forces to combine USB-C with PD and Power Over Ethernet, significantly lowering the cost of adopting USB-C by eliminating the need for new electrical infrastructure. The new Focusrite RedNet X2P is a compact, robust 2x2 Dante audio interface featuring two Red Evolution mic preamps, stereo line out and a stereo headphone amplifier. The RedNet X2P quickly adds I/O to any Focusrite Red or RedNet interfaces or any Audinate Dante audio-over-IP system, and power, audio and remote control are supplied using a single Ethernet cable. Audinate introduced a new compact Dante Analog Output Module, allowing manufacturers an easy option for quickly developing Dante endpoints. The new module is a simple Dante audio to analog audio adapter module, supporting one RJ45 Dante input, and one or two balanced analog outputs. It is designed for use in products assembled using an overmold process, where a single part is created using two or more different materials in combination. This allows rapid product development for simple audio networked systems, such as powered speakers.
