iZotope Simplifies Mastering Tools with Ozone 7 Elements

In line with the company’s recent philosophy of repackaging its sophisticated algorithms and software tools into easier to use and more affordable versions, iZotope now released Ozone 7 Elements, a new preset-based plug-in based on the original Ozone 7 mastering software. Ozone 7 Elements is an easy-to-use, affordable mastering tool with a simplified interface that delivers high-quality, professional results and still provides users the control and processing power needed.

iZotope has been very active. After launching a new version of its flagship noise reduction suite RX, the Cambridge, MA, company introduced a new version of its main product, Ozone. iZotope went a long way in overhauling Ozone 6, and made important changes to the product. However, these changes were not well received among many of its long-term users and iZotope felt the need to come public explaining what they did and why.

Previewed at the 137th AES Convention in Los Angeles, iZotope's mastering system Ozone 6 was completely redesigned based on observation on how users interacted with the application. Launching this fall, Ozone 6 introduces a new modern visual paradigm allowing users to freely experiment new signature sounds.
