The Loudspeaker Sourcing Show 2024 is Postponed

Philip Richardson, Owner of Trueanalog Strictly OEM and Host of the Loudspeaker Sourcing Show announced that the 2024 edition of the show, scheduled to take place 16-18 October in Guangzhou, China will be postponed this year. In a message on social media, Richardson posted that "Due to unforeseen political climate, and limited travel to China from invited countries, the Loudspeaker Sourcing Show will be postponed this year. I'm deeply sorry for the inconvenience."

B&C Group announced a new appointment to reinforce its sales team with the promotion of Patricia Adeyemi (Patty), to the recently vacated position of Distribution Sales Director - B&C Speakers. As B&C Group continues to expand its operations globally, for this important distribution role, the Italian speaker manufacturer decided to promote from within their experienced Back Office Manager.

Lavoce Italiana announced the appointment of Massimo Minardi as the Business Development Manager for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Another strategic addition to Lavoce's sales team, Minardi has a strong background spanning 20 years in pro audio equipment distribution, HF/LF transducer engineering and pro audio power amps sales to manufacturers. A unique skillset and knowledge base which OEM and Distribution customers alike will find extremely valuable.

Radian Audio Engineering announced Daniel F. Bodine as the company's newly-appointed VP of Business Development. As Radian Audio Engineering continues to expand its research and development efforts, which have already resulted in a new-generation of groundbreaking products, many of which yet to be revealed, Bodine will expand significantly the company's abilities to interact and respond to the needs of its customers and the overall audio industry.

For this Test Bench, Vance Dickason measures the Scan-Speak 18ME/9642T00 Ellipticor 6.5" Midrange, the first driver to be offered only to Scan-Speak's OEM customers, not available on the DIY retail market. Benefiting from the oval (elliptical) voice coil shape that characterizes the Ellipticor range, this midrange also features the AirCirc motor structure, and Symmetrical Drive SD-2 motor format.

Founded in 2001, Stereo Integrity is an OEM speaker driver manufacturer from North Carolina that also designs its own range of hi-fi amplifiers, sold directly to consumers online. The company sent its M25 mkII high-end tweeter, which features a 25mm silk dome diaphragm and surround, a dual-magnet neodymium motor, a black anodized aluminum motor housing with a tuned rear chamber, two-layer CCAW wound voice coil, and a compact 50mm diameter face plate with a steel anodized grill. B&C Speakers, one of the leading loudspeaker manufacturers for professional audio applications, based in Florence, Italy, announced that it has acquired 100% of Kentucky-based Eminence Speaker, LLC, the manufacturer of professional audio and guitar amplification loudspeakers, and its manufacturing facilities in Dongguan, China. According to B&C Speakers' CEO Lorenzo Coppini, this acquisition will strengthen the company's global reach, while "creating an opportunity to relaunch and enhance an iconic American brand."

TAD Laboratories of Japan launched its latest OEM product, the ET-703a Super High Tweeter. This new driver is a fine-tuned model of the company's ET-703 super high frequency horn tweeter, which has been highly acclaimed in the loudspeaker industry. With a frequency response from 5kHz to 45kHz at 8 ohms, featuring a triple-slit rear compression design with a 35mm voice coil, the ET-703a is promoted as one of the world's most efficient and broadband reproduction drivers for super high frequencies.

Loudspeaker manufacturer MISCO hired industry veteran Cobi Stein as Vice President of Marketing for its branded and custom OEM divisions, including their Oaktron, Bold North Audio, Red Line, and ToneSpeak brands. Stein served as Director of Marketing and Artist Relations for Eminence Speaker for nine years, and also served to manage sales and distribution during his tenure.
