NTi Audio announced a new functionality for its XL2 Analyzer, reinforcing its use as a professional measuring tool in quality assurance, maintenance, and service. The XL2 can measure power in Watts and dBm allowing it to determine the maximum output power of, for example, an audio amplifier or a headphone output. NTi Audio also confirmed that calibration according to IEC61672-3:2013 is now available for the XL2.

NTi Audio has implemented NoiseScout, a complete professional solution for unattended sound level monitoring. With a Noise Monitoring Station from NTi Audio, both short-term sound level measurements and long-term monitoring can be easily achieved. At the core is an XL2 Sound Level Meter, which in turn connects to the Internet via a NetBox. The remote access to the monitoring station is managed via the NTi Audio Gateway or the self-managing NoiseScout Web Portal.

The XL2 Audio and Acoustic Analyzer in combination with the new Limit Light visual indicator, from NTi Audio, offer a practical turnkey solution for live sound monitoring. The sound level limits are set in the XL2 and the connected Limit Light provides a pre-warning with an orange light and indicates that actually measured levels have been exceeded with a red light. The dimmable color display provides a simple confirmation of the sound level monitored.

NTi Audio Announces New PTB Certificate for XL2-TA Sound Level Meter

NTi Audio received certification from the national metrology institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) for legally-binding measurements standards with its XL2-TA Sound Level Meter with firmware V3.11. This update also introduces several new features. NTi Audio also confirmed that the current firmware of its FX100 Audio Analyzer allows playback of audio files through the analog or digital generator output ports.
