Martin Audio Unveils CDD-Live! Dante-Enabled Coaxial Differential Dispersion Speaker Systems

Martin Audio unveiled its much anticipated CDD-LIVE! Series at Prolight+Sound 2016. Targeted at sound reinforcement and monitoring applications, the full-range systems leverage the company’s patented Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology, combining the ‘point-source’ benefits of coaxial design with the consistent coverage of Differential Dispersion, to project sound evenly front-to-back while exhibiting wide horizontal coverage close to the speaker.

This follows the introduction of weatherised variants of its CDD install series, announced at ISE 2016.

Calling it “the Shape of Things to Come”, British company Martin Audio announced a major new dedicated installation loudspeaker range at the 2015 Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt. The CDD Series introduces an interesting design, combining distinctive curved enclosures with Coaxial Differential Dispersion drivers.

Martin Audio released details of a new book, “The Martin Audio Experience”, which is destined to grace the discerning coffee tables of the industry. A glossy hardback book featuring nearly 150 photographs charts the history of Martin Audio, from its humble yet highly transformative Dave Martin origins right through to the modern day era of MLA.

Optocore has created an elaborate fibre network for ISE 2015, connecting audio, video and intercom across multiple booths via a DiGiCo-Optocore/BroaMan network. The network ring starts with three connected DiGiCo consoles and continues to the Martin Audio booth, Allen & Heath’s booth, Renkus-Heinz and on the Powersoft booth and finally, on the Optocore booth itself.

Martin Audio’s groundbreaking Multi-Cellular Loudspeaker Array (MLA) system has made history at the Glastonbury festival by delivering the highest sound levels to the audience without exceeding noise pollution levels beyond the perimeter. More than 150,000 fans listened to headline acts mixed on the MLA system.
