Roland announced its latest generation of Live Mixing Consoles. The Roland M-5000 is the first from a new generation of live sound solutions for audio professionals using the O.H.R.C.A platform - Open, High Resolution, Configurable Architecture. The M-5000 has two expansion card slots to support audio transport protocols such as Dante, MADI, Waves SoundGrid, as well as future formats.

Yamaha will be highlighting its new RMio64-D Dante/MADI converter for broadcast and live sound applications, as well as the new Version 3 software for CL and QL digital mixing consoles. Both launched at IBC Amsterdam on 12th September, PLASA London will be their first showing at a UK trade event.

Award-winning film sound engineer Dennis S. Sands has upgraded his private Sound Waves SB studio with a new multi-channel Meyer Sound cinema loudspeaker system for mixing in Dolby Atmos. The Atmos integration using existing components for the audio distribution, processing and monitoring chain was successfully achieved using Dante audio network technology.
