Earin is a new Swedish brand, founded in 2013 to create simple high fidelity audio devices that "fully explore the potential of sound and technology." The company is already on the market with their M-1 Wireless Earbuds, a first-generation product targeted at music listening without wires. At CES 2017, Earin introduced their new M-2 earbuds, scheduled to ship in late Q1, and featuring a combination of the latest Bluetooth LE technology with NXP's Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI) chip.

Ropes USA are a colorful special edition of ROAM’s first product, the Ropes Bluetooth earphones, now successfully funded on Kickstarter with a $100,000 goal. Ropes’ design is somewhat reminiscent of Beats earphones and that’s probably the intention because ROAM is a company founded by Steven Lamar, an entrepreneur with a history related to Beats’ origins. The Ropes Bluetooth earphones also remind us of how early Bluetooth products looked back in 2010.

French company Audiophonics has successfully funded a combination of both, leveraging the Raspberry Pi 3 and ESS Sabre DACs in its RaspTouch Open Source high-end audio player and DAC with touchscreen. Those interested still have three days left to pledge for one of the available options on Kickstarter, from the simple aluminum chassis to a complete kit and top ES9018K2M output DAC.
