Wireless communications chipset specialist, DSP Group and LISNR, a global provider of data-over-audio technology, developed the Audio-D, a solution that supports data-over-audio communication for any device with a speaker or microphone. This solution, based on DSP Group’s DBMD4 Voice SoC and LISNR technology, overcomes device-to-device hardware restraints regarding RF protocols. Ultra Low Power MCU Enables 10 Times System-Level Power Savings and Floating-Point Operation in IoT Applications

Analog Devices announced an ultra low power microcontroller unit (MCU) that addresses the rapidly growing need for embedding advanced algorithms while consuming the lowest system power at Internet of Things (IoT) edge nodes. The ADuCM4050 MCU includes an ARM Cortex-M4 core with floating-point unit, expanded SRAM, and embedded flash memory in order to allow localized decision making and ensuring that only the most important data is sent to the cloud.

The GSMA association announced the latest initiatives and schedule of events for the 2017 Mobile World Congress, unveiling newly confirmed keynote speakers for the conference and additional participating companies. The Mobile World Congress will be held 27 February – 2 March 2017 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, with events also taking place at Fira Montjuïc. Even though this is mainly the world stage for mobile operators and smartphone manufacturers, the show is increasingly a launch pad for the latest wireless audio technologies.
