Genelec Updates GLM 3 Software with Cloud Services and Reference Levels

Genelec announced GLM 3, the latest iteration of its Genelec Loudspeaker Management (GLM) software, now featuring access to continuously updated technology and more complex calculations without the limitations of a locally stored software and the computer CPU. Genelec’s GLM 3 incorporates beta Cloud services and Reference Level listening features.

Genelec announced the 1032C two-way nearfield monitor, now upgraded with the cutting edge features and flexibility of Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) advanced monitor auto-calibration and networking software, plus significant across-the-board improvements including a digital input, higher SPL and increased low frequency extension. The 1032C monitor uses the same drivers, acoustic design and soffit-mountable classic styling, simply upgraded for the most demanding modern studios.

Genelec announced the release of its GLM (Genelec Loudspeaker Manager) V2.2 software, an update to the highly intuitive and powerful monitor control networking system that manages connectivity and operational parameters of all models of Genelec Smart Active Monitoring studio monitors and subwoofers. This is the "intelligence" that glues together the latest generation of the famous Finish active monitors, and an evolution of its v2 software, launched in 2015.

Genelec has updated its GLM calibration solution for SAM studio monitors and subwoofers, including V2 software, and an updated Network Adaptor with microphone and volume control inputs. The solution offers automatic calibration of levels and distance-compensating delays, with the ability to store and recall settings for different listening positions.

During the 138th Audio Engineering Society Convention in Warsaw, Poland, Genelec launched its new 1234 Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) System. This is a high performance, large main monitoring system which provides extremely well-controlled directivity and neutral sound, from 29 Hz to 21 kHz and delivering 125 dB SPL at 1 m through a combination of efficient Class D amplifiers.
