InfoComm 2017 Report

InfoComm, is North America's largest audio-visual trade show, and the 2017 edition attracted more than 40,000 visitors for the first time in its history. That's 13% more than the last time it was held in Orlando, in 2015, and 14% more than InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. As the InfoComm International Association confirmed immediately following its InfoComm 2017 event, the show was another record-breaking moment for this thriving sector, which now combines much more than AV commercial integration.

Yamaha Launches Major New Commercial Installation Solutions at InfoComm 2017

The 2017 InfoComm trade show saw Yamaha Commercial Audio launching several significant new products in its Commercial Installation Solutions (CIS) range, including paging stations, flexible control options and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) L2 switches. In parallel with the introduction of the new VXL1 range of column loudspeakers, Yamaha promoted the new networked installation solutions at its own booth plus two audio demo rooms.

After eight successful years, Fohhn Audio’s Linea Focus Beam Steering systems have undergone a major update that includes the addition of new innovative features and digital inputs. Introduced at Prolight+Sound 2017 in Frankfurt, the first of these “next generation” models to ship are the Linea Focus DLI-130 and DLI-230 systems designed for fixed installation applications. The new loudspeakers are equipped as standard with inputs for AES/EBU and Fohhn AIREA network, optional Dante or Optocore interfaces, and – as previously – with analogue inputs.

Lectrosonics Introduces the Duet Digital Wireless Monitor System with Dante Inputs

Lectrosonics announced the introduction of a new digital wireless monitor (IEM) system, the Duet. The new system consists of the M2T dual-stereo half-rack transmitter and M2R diversity belt pack receiver. The Duet covers the UHF frequencies of 470-608 MHz in a single range, uses digital modulation for transmission, and can accept analog or Dante digital inputs. The new system is designed and developed with professional touring, installation, theater, filmmaking and broadcast customers in mind.
