Yamaha Nuage Version 1.8 Update Embraces Dolby Atmos With Full Steinberg Nuendo 7.1 Support

Yamaha has released a software upgrade for its Nuage DAW system, featuring enhancements for Dolby Atmos surround and 3D audio production. Since its introduction in 2012, the Nuage integrated solution was adopted for commercial production applications, from audio post-production to music recording and mixing. The update will increase the appeal on film and TV soundtrack mixing by providing full support for the 3D surround MultiPanner included with Steinberg’s Nuendo 7.1 DAW.

Audient Introduces New iD4 24-bit/96kHz Compact Audio Interface with DAW Control

It’s very questionable that anyone would still be on the market for another USB 2.0 compact audio recording interface, given the market saturation and the transition to faster and lower-latency USB 3, Thunderbolt or even Ethernet alternatives already in the market. German software house MAGIX Software GmbH announced it is acquiring a majority of the Sony Creative Software (SCS) products, including the popular audio editing and music production applications Sound Forge Pro and ACID Pro. Sony Creative Software was created from the acquisition of Sonic Foundry, in 2003, and has remained a separate division within Sony Professional.
