Audix Introduces New Installation Microphones and Network Options for Ceiling Mics

Following on developments previously announced at Integrated Systems Europe 2018, Audix now announced at InfoComm 2018 that their full range of ceiling mics can now support audio networking options using Dante, AES67, or AVB/TSN protocols. The Oregon-based US-manufacturer of microphones and wireless microphone systems also launched the new Audix M63 boundary microphone, and the M65 desktop microphone, both designed for education, conference rooms, and huddle room applications.

Futuresource Consulting has just published its new "Global Professional Microphone Report," looking at overall market value, technical innovation and trends influencing the segment, brand leadership and future opportunities. The comprehensive new research finds that the professional microphone market is expected to surpass 7 million units by 2021, up from 4.6 million in 2016. In 2016, a little more than half of vendor revenues came from wireless microphones.

Audix Microphones has announced the DP4 Instrument Pack, a combination of four essential mics for rhythm sections, making the life of musicians and sound engineers easier. The new pack consists of the iconic Audix D6 microphone and three i5 microphones in a heavy-duty carrying case. The case also includes three DFLEX mic mounts and three additional cutouts for vocal microphones.

Audix Corporation has unveiled a special limited edition D6 microphone to mark the company’s 30 year anniversary. The Audix D6 was first introduced to the music industry in 2005 and is considered one of the most influential kick drum mics ever made. This special edition D6 microphone features a limited edition finish. Only 750 have been produced, all look different and are numbered and serialized.
