Audio Precision announced a technology demonstration of multichannel audio bus testing at the upcoming AES 2017 International Conference on Automotive Audio in San Francisco. Conducted in cooperation with Mentor Automotive, the test scenario will center on the digital audio bus technology developed by Analog Devices, Automotive Audio Bus (A2B), and the concept system will incorporate AP’s eight-channel APx585 audio analyzer and Mentor’s A2B Analyzer platform.

Audio Precision Releases Updated Android Smartphone Audio Test App

Audio Precision announced availability of the latest version of their Android audio test app, with support for Android versions 4, 5 and 6 (as well as Android N Developer Preview 5). The app allows fast, automated evaluation of new phones and tablets, including hands-free Bluetooth audio test without requiring the initiation of a phone call, saving developers’ time and ensuring that measurement results aren’t impacted by network performance.

As he explains, the articles discuses methods used to procure high-quality results by correctly evaluating the critical AD and DA stages, with conventional and more evolved measurements used in audio tests.
