NI Introduces WLAN Measurement Suite Solution for 802.11ax High-Efficiency Wireless

National Instruments (NI) announced an early access version of the WLAN Measurement Suite with support for the IEEE 802.11ax (draft 0.1) high-efficiency wireless draft standard. The WLAN Measurement Suite, combined with NI’s RF vector signal transceiver (VST), allows engineers to measure the performance of their 802.11ax designs confidently in the presence of significant new changes to the 802.11 physical layer specification.

ARM has introduced Cortex-R8, it’s latest quad-core real-time processor, designed for implementation on advanced silicon processes with an emphasis on improved energy efficiency, real-time responsiveness, advanced features and ease of system design. Next generation LTE Advanced Pro and 5G mobile baseband standards and mass storage applications will benefit from ARM’s new Cortex-R8 processor.

At the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, Rohde & Schwarz introduced new RF and audio multistandard test solutions for manufacturers of Bluetooth headsets and audio car kits, and added the enhanced VoLTE voice service codec to its R&S CMW500. The R&S CMW500 is the only test platform on the market to offer a one-instrument solution for testing all cellular and non-cellular standards and Bluetooth.

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (March 2-5, 2015), Cambridge Consultants demonstrated its Pizzicato all-digital radio transmitter. The technology innovation firm says this is the world’s first radio transmitter built purely from computing power - a turning point in radio design and a real enabler for the ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) and 5G technology.
