Audeze Launches First Headphones With Fully Integrated Apple Lightning Cable

The news has been around for a while. The industry has decided to ditch the standard analog 3.5mm jack, replacing it for USB-C connectors or, in Apple’s devices, the Lightning cable. Audeze decided to anticipate the benefits of having direct 24-bit audio and introduced its new EL-8 Titanium headphones with support for music and voice.

STMicroelectronics announced its second-generation digital audio amplifiers with internal 24-bit DAC conversion, bringing increased performance in comparison to its original products introduced in 2012. The new FDA801 and FDA801B 4-channel class-D components simplify system design and lower cost for car-radio suppliers, allowing for more than 40% power savings compared to standard class-D amplifiers.
