The Zoom LiveTrak L-8 combines a digital mixer with 8 input channels, and a multitrack recorder capable of recording up to 12 tracks simultaneously. And it can be used as a 12-in / 4-out USB audio interface even while users are recording to the SD card. And podcasters can connect up to 4 pairs of headphones which can be feeded by the L-8´s 3 independent monitor mixes and 1 master mix.
And because sound effects are a necessity for podcasters, the L-8 has 6 sound pads that can be used to play intros, jingles, sound effects, a music bed, or simply to trigger a pre-recorded ad or interview during a break. With a phone tap for call-in interviews, the LiveTrak L-8 can even handle remote podcast guests. Equipped with a smartphone connection jack and an included TRRS cable, the L-8 is ideal for podcasting with call-in guests. The Mix-Minus function automatically prevents echo and feedback to and from the caller. Users can also use the USB connection to route audio from Skype, Facetime, Hangouts, Slack, and more.

Powered with four AA batteries for up to 2.5 hours, the L-8 can be used anytime and anywhere as both a recorder and mixer. For longer recording sessions, it's possible to connect a portable USB battery, and if the USB battery dies, it will automatically switch to the AA battery power. For studio use, the L-8 mixer can be powered with the included power adapter.
