Urbanista Unveils Second Generation Headphones and TWS Earbuds with Powerfoyle Solar Cell Technology

Urbanista, the Swedish lifestyle audio brand, announced the new and advanced Urbanista Los Angeles headphones and Urbanista Phoenix true wireless earbuds, the next generation of its innovative light powered audio products with integrated Powerfoyle solar cell material from Exeger. The two all-new updated self-charging models will be the highlight for Urbanista at CES 2024.
 

Building on the success of the world’s first light powered headphones and earphones with Powerfoyle solar cell technology launched by Urbanista in 2021 and 2022, the new second generation Urbanista Los Angeles headphones and Urbanista Phoenix TWS earbuds redefine the audio experience with a combination of wireless freedom and cutting-edge green technology. 

Made from recycled plastic and redesigned from the ground up for improved comfort, the second generation self-charging headphones and earphones with adaptive noise cancelling mark the pinnacle of sustainable audio technology, harnessing the limitless power of light in all conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
 

At the heart of both products lies Bluetooth 5.3 and adaptive noise cancelling technology, improving the immersive experience in both models. According to Urbanista, the headphones and earphones noise-reducing microphones are finely tuned to eradicate distracting sounds, ensuring that music and calls are heard with pristine clarity, even in noisy environments.

Inspired by two of the sunniest places on earth, the second generation Urbanista Los Angeles and Phoenix will come in the iconic Midnight Black and additional colorways that will be announced later. Available online at urbanista.com and retailers worldwide in 2024, the Urbanista Los Angeles 2nd Generation headphones will be priced at $179 / €179 and the Urbanista Phoenix 2nd Generation earbuds at $129 / €129.

Made from recycled plastic and redesigned for a perfect fit, the all-new Urbanista Los Angeles headphones improved lightweight design offers full day listening comfort on a long flight, at the gym or spending the day at the office. The Los Angeles headphones also boast ear-detection technology that intelligently pauses audio playback when the headphones are removed, and continues to play music when placed back in. The headphones' advanced Bluetooth multipoint feature seamlessly connects to the preferred Bluetooth device and switching between sources.
 

The new Urbanista Phoenix takes true wireless audio further by harnessing the limitless power of light with a redesigned innovative charging case that continuously recharges whenever exposed to all forms of light, both indoors and outdoors. The earbuds deliver 8 hours of uninterrupted playtime on a single charge, and 40 hours on the charging case. The all-new second generation Urbanista Phoenix features a new and improved earbud design that is more comfortable thanks to the fully customizable fit provided by the silicone ear tips, and an even smaller charging case with the integrated Powerfoyle solar cell that makes the pebble-shaped case easily pocketable and convenient to hold in the hand.

Made from recycled plastic, the Phoenix' earbuds are IP54 rated for sweat and water resistance, and the improved active noise cancellation now provides up to -45dB noise reduction. Similarly to Los Angeles, the new second generation Urbanista Phoenix features advanced ear-detection technology and Bluetooth multipoint.

Both Urbanista Los Angeles headphones and the Phoenix earphones are compatible with the Urbanista mobile companion app that puts users in control of the audio experience with customization options, including fully customizable EQ settings. The companion app also helps users keep track of the headphones and earphones live light charging and historical performance to make the most out of the product's playtime and light charging features.
