This is the second acquisition announcement from the Siemens Group, with strategic implications for product design and development solutions. With the acquisition of DownStream Technologies the German multinational also continues to expand its presence and investments in North America, following the recent acquisition of Altair to create most complete AI-powered portfolio of simulation software.

DownStream’s patented BluePrint-PCB tool is widely recognized as a best-in-class documentation solution enabling customers of all sizes to automate the creation of highly detailed manufacturing documents. Siemens Digital Industries has a workforce of around 70,000 people worldwide and is part of the Siemens Group.
