Shure says that it developed the KSM11 to provide the most natural, transparent, and high-clarity sound without necessitating the use of additional processing for in-person, broadcast, simulcast, and live streamed performances.

As with all products in the KSM range, the new KSM11 uses a proprietary condenser capsule with a 3/4" gold diaphragm, with a highly consistent, deep cardioid polar pattern that reduces off-axis phase distortion. Adding microphone technology specifically developed for wireless applications, the KSM11 transducer is outfitted with premium electronics, in a structure that provides virtually zero handling noise, thanks to its advanced suspended isolation system. The streamlined design also allows an overall smaller and lighter capsule footprint, protected by a dent-resistant hardened steel grille with 3-stage plosive reduction pop filter.
