IFA 2025: World’s Most Inspiring Tech Show to Improve on All Fronts

Preparations for IFA 2025 are in full swing, and booking levels for the Berlin trade show have already surpassed those of the previous year. After the successful IFA 2024, celebrating the show's 100th anniversary, the world's largest trade fair for consumer and home technologies continues to expand and improve. The 2025 edition now sees the IFA Global Markets B2B sourcing platform return to the same Messe Berlin complex and take over Hall 26.
 

Evolving from its strong position in the home technology and appliances industry increasingly to global consumer electronics, IFA 2025 will once again be the most important meeting place for anyone who wants to experience and shape the future of technology. With an increasing B2B perspective, IFA is also becoming an important opportunity for technology providers to meet some of the largest technology brands from all over the world.

In 2024, over 1,800 exhibitors presented the latest innovations from the fields of consumer electronics and home appliances. More than 215,000 visitors from 138 countries – including more than 133,000 trade visitors – experienced the future of technology live. The results of the anniversary year show that IFA Berlin has further expanded its status as an indispensable platform for innovation and business.

Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management, commented: "Our top 30 exhibitors, along with many new and innovative companies, have already confirmed their participation at IFA 2025. At this point, we’ve reached a record level of bookings for IFA 2025, clearly exceeding last year's numbers. This proves that IFA delivers real value, something we were able to demonstrate and further expand with the successful IFA100."

Following a successful IFA 2024, there was a lively exchange with exhibitors and visitors to identify opportunities for improvement. "Many have described IFA as 'the place to be' - especially on the part of trade and industry as a business platform - and we are building on this success this year," says Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management GmbH. The result is an extremely successful re-book campaign – the top 30 exhibitors and many new, innovative companies have already confirmed their participation in IFA 2025.
 

Open to Trade
A key factor in the success of IFA 2024 was the close cooperation with retailers. This concept will also be further expanded for IFA 2025. All retail partners, including the specialist retail buying groups, have already confirmed their support for IFA 2025.

The first IFA Retail Leaders Summit will bring together the international industry's top decision-makers , creating an exclusive platform to network with the most influential players in the world of home and consumer tech. Globally recognized industry analysts and pioneering technology brands will also be invited to outline their visions for the future. The exclusive format is aimed at 80 to 100 invited international senior retail executives. This high-level C-level convention will take place on 4 September 2025 at the IFA Berlin exhibition grounds – one day before the official opening of IFA. Access by invitation only.

IFA continues to adapt to the constantly changing needs of the industry and will therefore also implement a new concept for IFA 2025, particularly in the area of future technologies. One of the focus topics for 2025 will be artificial intelligence (AI). Content creation, audio, gaming, digital health, and mobility will be significantly expanded and showcased. 

"In its 101st year, IFA will continue to consistently pursue its innovative new path, and there will be no decline in performance. Because only at IFA visitors can get a complete picture of the global electronics and tech market - no other international trade fair can compete on this scale,” Leif Lindner adds.
