Dirac Live Active Room Treatment (ART) is a professional-grade smart acoustics solution designed originally to power state-of-the-art home theaters for discerning prosumers and dedicated audio enthusiasts. As a powerful enhancement to the original Dirac Live room correction platform, Dirac Live ART transforms a room’s existing speakers into a unified system that intelligently manages room resonances and dramatically improves bass clarity.
With its advanced technical capabilities, Dirac Live ART delivers a level of acoustic precision previously reserved for high-end studio environments – empowering serious users to unlock the full potential of their home audio systems. Originally only available in StormAudio's powerful multichannel processors and amplifiers, the new advanced implementation now arrives also to Marantz and Denon home cinema receivers.

“Dirac Live ART represents the next frontier in smart acoustics, delivering a level of acoustic precision that was once out of reach for most home audio systems,” explains Fredric Tapper, Dirac’s Vice President and Head of Business Development. "By bringing Dirac Live ART to Denon and Marantz devices, we’re expanding access to our most advanced smart acoustic solution yet – empowering more users to transform their listening rooms into finely tuned sound environments, regardless of layout or speaker placement."
Dirac Live ART solution represents a major evolution in low-frequency control, using Dirac’s patented MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) technology to coordinate all speakers in a system. Even in asymmetrical or unconventional setups, Dirac Live ART effectively manages room resonances in the critical 20Hz to 150Hz range – resulting in a smoother, more consistent bass experience across all listening positions. This is achieved through precise phase alignment and intelligent control of the sound field, offering performance that would otherwise require extensive physical room treatment.
The Denon and Marantz products mentioned in this announcement are part of the portfolio that was recently sold by medical company Masimo to Harman International.
