CEDIA Expo 2024 Returns to Denver, September 5-7

August 2 2024, 09:10
CEDIA Expo, the residential technology integration trade show takes place September 5-7, 2024, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO. CEDIA Expo is the platform where residential technology integration, designers and construction professionals connect, learn and engage. The CEDIA Smart Home Technology Conference will take place from September 4 to 6. Over four days, attendees will have the opportunity to network and explore innovative products, technologies and solutions.

With the floor map and exhibitors list now available, CEDIA Expo  2024 is confirmed to be an event of similar dimensions to the 2023 exhibition. The larger booths are of similar size, and most of the companies from last year are back, with approximately 90 companies listed as New exhibitors. Effectively the show floor expands slightly because there is a new Lighting area where many of the new exhibitors are located. That is all good news for Emerald, the trade show organizer, for exhibitors and for visitors, promising an environment as vibrant and enthusiastic as in previous editions (Dallas in 2022, and Denver in 2023).

"This year's event promises to be our most exciting yet, with a versatile lineup of exhibitors, networking opportunities and educational programming. By co-locating with Commercial Integrator Expo, we are expanding the scope of the event to better serve the needs of industry professionals navigating the evolving landscape of residential and commercial integration. Industry professionals looking to stay ahead of the curve in residential systems integration won’t want to miss CEDIA Expo 2024," says Jason McGraw, CTS, group vice president for CEDIA Expo Emerald.

Talking about the so called "Commercial Integrator Expo". This is not changing much from last year. It's basically an area on the left side of the hall, with many small size exhibits, where companies that have been focused on commercial audio, are located. Networking, technical furniture, lighting and a few "undecided" audio companies exploring the territory, is nothing to be excited about, but adds value to the US integrators who visit the show. Of course, the several pro audio companies who have long understood the large potential of residential integration have already been exhibiting at CEDIA for a few years now, and are totally integrated with the rest.

CEDIA 2024 will see once again multiple companies such as Sonos, Amazon, Google, AVA, and a few others, promoting their vision of the smart home in a professional installation perspective. But the smart home topic will be mainly discussed in the several presentations that are included in the CEDIA conference program. One of the highlights of CEDIA Expo 2024 will be the Smart Stage, featuring a lineup of engaging thought leadership sessions, directly taking place in the show floor area and not in the convention area downstairs.

Curated by CEDIA, the CEDIA Smart Home Technology Conference will feature over 80 sessions aimed at broadening the perspectives of attendees, introducing new revenue streams and fostering meaningful business conversations. This year’s agenda includes various formats, such as case studies led by peer integrators, panels and full-day hands-on workshops

"This year's CEDIA Smart Home Technology Conference lineup is like no other — we're thrilled and so thankful for the response and support we’ve received from CEDIA membership, volunteers and the overall integrator community," states Jonathan Toomey, senior director of conference and event strategy for CEDIA. "The program is a testament to this growing, vibrant ecosystem and features a stellar lineup of industry practitioners and thought leaders. Regardless of your role, there truly is something for everyone — from hot topics to hands-on, and peer presentations to panels, this is truly the can’t-miss educational event for the smart home industry."

And for those visitors interested in home theater, CEDIA Expo 2024 promises the best possible experiences and demonstrations of the possibilities of the latest cutting-edge technology. With many manufacturers, particularly speaker companies, promoting their own demos in dedicated rooms, there are also excellent presentations right in the show floor. Seymour-Screen Excellence, StormAudio, Ascendo Immersive Audio, Christie, Moovia and Lumagen will cooperate to present their latest home theater solutions in Sound Room 4. This year, the presentations will feature a hybrid audio-over-IP system, and a larger sound room that accommodates three rows of seating.

Ascendo will feature their flagship Black Swans speakers as screen channels and debut a new subwoofer design. The Black Swans for Front Left, Center and Right channels will be placed behind the Seymour-Screen Excellence ART acoustically transparent film screen system. Making for a hybrid AoIP 13.12.10 system, Ascendo's network-enabled amplifiers will drive the Black Swans and subs, digitally connecting via Cat6 Ethernet to StormAudio's ISP Elite 32 Digital AoIP MK3, which will manage processing and calibration. StormAudio’s MK3 PA 8 Ultra amps are powering the Ascendo surrounds and top channels via a classic XLR configuration.

CEDIA Expo announced an expanded partnership with the 8K Association as a supporting organization during CEDIA Expo 2024. This partnership aims to deliver relevant and insightful information on several 8K technology-related topics, including the significant role that 8K native, computer-generated, and upconverted content is destined to play in the future of home entertainment.
Attendees can also take advantage of diverse educational opportunities, including Manufacturer Product Training, designed to enhance their skills and knowledge in the residential field. Attendees can explore the latest trends and emerging technologies in the Launchpad, the new startup area, and experience cutting-edge residential audio technology in the sound demonstration rooms. New for 2024, the Connectivity Pavilion will feature exhibits and kiosks from connected device platforms and product manufacturers demonstrating the interoperability and functionality of their products on such platforms.

Across the street from the Colorado Convention Center, Coastal Source, Draper, and Just Video Walls collaborate to showcase the possibilities of outdoor environments at CEDIA Expo's Destination Outdoors. This immersive experience promises to highlight the latest technology aimed at elevating any outdoor environment. Destination Outdoors will be adorned with grassy expanses, stylish patio furnishings, lawn games, comfortable outdoor seating and canopy tents to create the perfect backdrop for demonstrating the latest outdoor innovations.

At Destination Outdoors, Coastal Source will put the spotlight on its state-of-the-art outdoor audio and lighting solutions. Draper will highlight the limitless potential of shading solutions for transforming outdoor spaces into inviting living areas. Meanwhile, Just Video Walls will exhibit a range of MicroLED displays tailored to suit the specific requirements of any outdoor entertainment area. When combined, Coastal Source, Draper and Just Video Walls can establish a comprehensive outdoor ecosystem encompassing audio, video, lighting, and shading.

CEDIA members will receive free access to the show floor. With a conference pass, CEDIA members can save $500 on CEDIA Smart Home Technology Conference offerings. Anyone interested in attending CEDIA Expo can register online.
