The new 15DS100 and 18DS100 both feature a 37mm long, 4 inch diameter (100mm) Copper Clad Aluminum Wire voice coil, ventilated voice coil gap, double silicone spider with optimized compliance, and an aluminum demodulation ring to reduce distortion. Both are rated for 1500 watt AES power, ~97dB sensitivity, and over 14.0mm of Xvar excursion. Both models are available in 8 Ohm or 4 Ohm impedances.
According to the Florence, Italy based company, these high energy subwoofers are a significant step forward from similar models in the B&C range, and perfect for reflex, and horn-loaded cabinets where small cabinet size and low frequency extension are priorities.
Expanded 4" Woofer Family
B&C Speakers is now also shipping the new 4NDS34 neodymium subwoofer, part of their 4" family of professional transducers. The 4NDS34 features a 34mm copper voice coil, 84 gram neodymium slug magnet, 200w continuous power rating, and high sensitivity from 80-2000Hz. The 4NDS34 subwoofer compliments the other B&C 4" family members, including the 4NDF34 neodymium woofer, and the 4CXN36 high performance coax which combines a 36mm diaphragm compression driver and wide bandwidth woofer.
