Samson Technologies has a new addition to their already impressively affordable and reliable line of monitor speakers. The MediaOne BT Active Studio Monitors with Bluetooth are available in three models, sold as packaged stereo pairs. The MediaOne BT3 ($99), MediaOne BT4 ($149) and MediaOne BT5 ($199) monitors are the latest products from Samson that feature the ability to wirelessly connect to music sources via Bluetooth. At the same time, their full range response is an ideal combination for anyone whishing to connect multiple sources to a workstation in a project studio, while also listening from mobile devices like tablets or smartphones. They are also an ideal alternative to using headphones while working on the move, since they are compact enough to be carried around.
The MediaOne BT Active Studio Monitors come in three different configurations to match a variety of output needs: MediaOne BT3 (3-inch woofer, 1-inch tweeter, 15 watts per channel RMS, 30 watts per channel Peak), MediaOne BT4 (4-inch woofer, 1-inch tweeter, 20 watts per channel RMS, 40 watts per channel Peak) and MediaOne BT5 (5-inch woofer, 1-inch tweeter, 20 watts per channel RMS, 40 watts per channel Peak). Their copolymer woofers deliver a controlled low frequency response, while their 1-inch silk dome tweeters give the high frequencies a natural sound without unwanted noise. Each rear-vented, precision-tuned port enclosure is finished in an all-black satin vinyl covering with matching metal grills for the woofers and tweeters, assuring these monitors look as good as they sound.
The MediaOne BT Active Studio Monitors can be easily paired with any Bluetooth-equipped smartphone, laptop or tablet, and allow listening to music, videos and other media applications without wires. The Bluetooth pairing button and LED indicator can be found on the active speaker’s rear control panel, along with the system’s RCA inputs, passive monitor terminals and an AC power connector. In addition, the front panel houses the level control, as well as both a headphone output and stereo input. The 3.5mm stereo input can be used to connect secondary signal sources such as digital players, keyboards and more.
Samson is so confident in the MediaOne BT Active Studio Monitors, they are hosting a contest starting on July 18 giving away a pair.
