Tectonic Elements BMR speakers are featured in Revo’s new SuperSystem home entertainment system, available for purchase starting in November 2015. The Revo SuperSystem is a thoroughly modern music system, combining craftsmanship with next-generation all-digital technology, room-filling acoustic performance and award-winning industrial design.
Headquartered in the small market town of Lanark, Scotland and established in 2004, Revo is a multi award-winning designer and manufacturer of high quality digital radio and audio streaming products. With the introduction of the SuperSystem as a flagship product, Revo has been awarded their seventh Red Dot Design Award for product design excellence.
The Revo SuperSystem design combines a wood cabinet with anodized aluminum front facia/speaker grille and pressing steel backplate, featuring a detailed graphical OLED display and large joystick control on top. The formula for Revo’s SuperSystem room-filling audio and powerful bass lies in the choice of Tectonic Elements twin 3.5” flat panel BMR speaker drivers, powered by a 80 watt Class-D amp and an integrated active subwoofer with dedicated 40 watt amplifier.
“We’re very pleased to have Revo select our TEBM65C20F BMR for their flagship product”, says Tectonic Elements Managing Director Caroline O’Brien. “This is the fifth product that we have collaborated on with Revo. Tectonic BMRs are also used in their other Red Dot Design Award winners; SuperConnect; Heritage; K2 and AXiS models.”
“The Tectonic TEBM65C20F BMR provides an extended frequency response and wide directivity compared to conventional speakers”, explains Revo’s CEO, David Baxter. “It combines the benefits of Tectonic Elements’ bending-wave technology with pistonic modes of operation to provide a full-range, high performance acoustic solution in a very compact form factor.”
The Revo SuperSystem accepts a comprehensive range of inputs including digital radio standards DAB, DAB+, FM with RDS and Wi-Fi internet radio. Network audio and WLAN technology enables wireless audio playback from external computers and music servers, Bluetooth with aptX delivers CD quality streaming from smartphones, tablets etc., and Spotify Connect completes the proposition by unlocking over 30 million tracks from the Spotify archive. Thanks to the inclusion of Revo’s UNDOK technology, the SuperSystem is also able to wirelessly distribute music to other compatible devices in the home and to establish a sophisticated multiroom audio environment, controllable via an App for iOS or Android devices.
Tectonic Elements’ BMR speaker drivers incorporate core NXT technologies and are compact, full-range, wide dispersion drivers that produce a unique quality and depth of sound. Tectonic Elements is a wholly owned subsidiary of Flat Audio, LLC, headquartered in the UK and has offices in Hong Kong and USA.
