The HDBaseT Alliance, the cross-industry group tasked with promoting and advancing HDBaseT technology, has launched the updated HDBaseT Interoperability App, featuring a complete list of all HDBaseT-certified products, organized by manufacturer and category. The app is available for download for free in both the AppStore and GooglePlay.
The HDBaseT Interop app is a first of its kind, bringing further flexibility and ease of use to installers and integrators. Among the features enabled by the app is a complete list of all HDBaseT-certified products, organized by manufacturer and category. This resource features extensive search capability, including a series of filters and certified 5Play feature set per product.
The new app also focuses on ease of use and on-the-go accessibility with the ability to share product listings with fellow professionals and to save list of 'favorite' products for later retrieval.
“The HDBaseT Interop app responds to demands of installers, integrators and other AV professionals, who needed an intuitive and handy tool to check HDBaseT products for certification and features. We are planning on adding more features and capabilities to this app, and we are happy to hear from users on their experience and their needs,” says Micha Risling, Chair of the HDBaseT Alliance’s Marketing Committee.
About HDBaseT Technology
HDBaseT technology has become the standard for ultra HD video distribution in residential and commercial applications. The cornerstone of the technology is the 5Play converged delivery of uncompressed high-definition digital video and audio, Ethernet, up to 100 W power, various control signals, and USB, through a single LAN cable.
The HDBaseT Alliance advances and promotes the adoption of HDBaseT technology as the global standard for ultra-high definition, digital connectivity. Since its founding in 2010 by LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Valens, the Alliance has brought together the leading names in the consumer electronics and professional AV market.
