Following the highly-successful 137th convention in Los Angeles, the Audio Engineering Society elected Andrés Mayo to be the new AES President, taking over the leadership role from Dr. Sean Olive. An award-winning producer and engineer, Andrés Mayo owns is own mastering and audio post business in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is set to guide the AES into the coming year and through AES138 in Warsaw, Poland and the Convention’s return to New York City for AES139 in the fall of 2015.

British company Studiomaster supplied a “berg suitable” PA for the world’s first ever gig, performed in sub-zero temperatures.
