CODA Audio had a busy demo room all through the InfoComm 2019, with continuous presentations of the many sound reinforcement solutions from the German brand for the professional audio market, and particularly for the US market. The company reported an excellent reception for the patented APS technology, implemented in CODA's new N-APS loudspeaker system, which was the main focus for the Orlando show, reinforced by the N-SUB compact subwoofer.

HIFIMAN Announces TWS600 Bluetooth Earbuds With Reception Up To 150 Meters

True Wireless High End? How can you differentiate what is typically a convenience-oriented product segment to make it worthy of admiration by more demanding music enthusiasts? That's precisely what HIFIMAN Electronics, the company founded by Fang Bian, will be revealing at CanJam SoCal 2019, where the new TWS600 True Wireless Earphone will be shown for the first time. According to the company, the TWS600's will be shipping in mid-July 2019 and feature Class 1 Bluetooth reception up to 150 meters, or 490 feet.

The annual ALMA International Symposium & Expo (AISE) 2019, took place June 9–10 at the DoubleTree by Hilton at Universal Orlando, just prior to InfoComm 2019. Once again, it was the strongest event ever for anyone in the loudspeaker and electroacoustic development in general. This was the first event since the association decided to move away from Las Vegas and CES, and leverage the opportunities of working closer with the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA) and its annual trade show, InfoComm.

Tectonic Audio Labs Introduces New DML500 Flat Panel Speaker and LS-118 Subwoofer

During InfoComm 2019, Tectonic Audio Labs will introduce the DML500 flat panel speaker and the company’s first front firing passive subwoofer, the LS-118, which together promises to “completely alter the way we hear sound.” The DML500 is Tectonic’s next generation distributed mode loudspeaker featuring bending wave technology and the evolution of Tectonic's PL Series of loudspeakers, in a lighter, thinner and easier to mount solution, that improves directivity and intelligibility.

Purifi Audio: A Conversation About Amplifiers and Speakers

A new Danish audio company, founded by Bruno Putzeys, Lars Risbo, and Peter Lyngdorf was recently announced. The name is Purifi Audio, and as you can guess from the founders involved, the venture promises Class D amplifiers with record-breaking performance "unmatched by amplifiers of any operating class." But the new company will be doing more than amplifiers, since it also revealed a new 6.5" woofer with "magnitudes lower intermodulation distortion across frequency and SPL."

Warwick Acoustics, the company behind the multi-award-winning Sonoma Model One electrostatic headphones has launched the APERIO, its new flagship integrated headphone system. Launched at the 2019 High End show in Munich, Germany, the APERIO headphone system introduces the unique Balanced-Drive High Precision Electrostatic Laminate (BD-HPEL), which takes Warwick's original HPEL to a whole new level, complemented with a completely new electronics unit where nothing is missing. The whole system costs US $24,000 but sounds like a million dollars.
